Full Time Maintenance Person
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience in cleaning, maintenance, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, carpentry and/or painting.
TERMS:
12 months in accordance with the negotiated CSEA agreement.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for the inspection and cleanliness of assigned building, assigned equipment, and upkeep of the grounds.
Duties include the following:
The Maintenance Person reports to the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.
1.
Responsible for cleanliness of assigned work area(s).
2.
Performs general building and grounds repairs, including, but not limited to the following:
a.
Replace faulty switches, repair emergency lights and make other minor electrical repairs.
b.
Replace washers, repair leaking toilets, sinks and other minor plumbing problems.
c.
Repair doors, replace broken glass and other minor carpentry jobs.
d.
Paint halls, fences, classrooms and/or schools.
e.
Responsible for mowing, trimming of all lawns and upkeep of the grounds.
f.
Inspect all motors and fans as scheduled; accomplish preventitive maintenance.
3.
May be assigned to perform other tasks as required by the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds.
