Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. FOR THE GS-07 LEVEL:
Applicants must have one of the following:
A. Superior Academic Achievement (SAA):
To qualify based on superior academic achievement, you must have completed the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution AND meet ONE of the following GPA requirements:
A grade point average of B (a GPA of 2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last two years of undergraduate study; A grade point average of B+ (a GPA of 3.45 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all courses in the applicant's major field of study, or those courses in the applicant's major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study; Rank in the upper one-third of the applicant's class in the college, university, or major subdivision; or Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. OR B. Graduate Education:
One full year of graduate level education that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. OR C. Specialized
Experience:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service, including the following:
Preparing and maintaining expense projections in an automated cost management system; Participating in the preparation and review of financial reports and budgetary summary reports; Reconciling financial expenditures and resolving discrepancies while keeping leadership informed; Making recommendations regarding adjustment of funds to provide effective and economical utilization of financial resources; Participating in strategic planning and budget planning meetings with prepared reports; Preparing invoices for reimbursement of expenditures for cooperative projects; and Serving as records custodian. OR D. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE AT THE GS-07 GRADE LEVEL:
Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level. Applicants may have combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience to meet total qualification requirements. To compute, first determine your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level (Paragraph C above); then determine your graduate education as a percentage of the graduate education required for the grade level (Paragraph B above); and then add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for this grade level. TRANSCRIPTS are required if:
You are qualifying for the position based on education. You are qualifying for this position based on a combination of experience and education. You are qualifying for this position based on Superior Academic Achievement. This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
