Business Systems Analyst 2

This position serves as the Upstate Implementation Manager for the CONNECTIONS Implementation Team, who provides support and guidance for CONNECTIONS users statewide. The position entails supporting the business needs for the CONNECTIONS system, including changes and enhancements to the system. Additional systems within OCFS may also be supported based on agency business needs. Specific responsibilities of the position include:
o Assist the OCFS program areas with ushering requests through the Project Intake process from Idea through Project. o Work with OCFS program area staff to create business cases for new systems or enhancements to existing systems. o Document business processes/workflows for current and future systems. o Elicit and document requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems. o Serve as a liaison between the Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS) to communicate OCFS program area business needs and requirements to OITS Development and Testing teams. o Review requirements with OCFS program area Subject Matter Experts and obtain approval from Project Sponsor(s). o Develop test scenarios and test cases. o Test system functionality and document test results. o Elicit and document requirements for metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). o Develop training materials. o Assist with Change Control/Release Planning for system enhancements. o Research production system issues. o Attend training classes related to Business Analysis. o Facilitate meetings and record meeting minutes and action items. o Perform direct supervision of staff supporting the Bureau of Strategic System Innovations (BSSI). o Prioritize workload and handle multiple assignments concurrently in a timely manner. Salary Range:
From $79325 to $100342 Annually
Minimum Qualification
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or a title eligible for 52.6 transfer. This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
