Children and Family Services Specialist 2 (SOGIE)

Reporting to the Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) Officer, the Children and Family Services Specialist 2 will serve as the primary liaison on matters regarding the LGBTQ
community and sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression (SOGIE ). The incumbent will identify projects, tasks, and initiatives to support existing partnerships and connections with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will work with individuals, bureaus, offices, divisions, and regional offices; develop, facilitate, and oversee intra-agency workgroups and initiatives; and represent OCFS at events necessitating representation of the LGBTQ
community or SOGIE-affirming practices and policies. Specific responsibilities include:
o Lead the implementation of the OCFS LGBTQ
Practice Model, ensuring sustainability, agency-wide buy in, participation, and commitment o Serve as subject matter expert and equity advocate on LGBTQ
affairs, SOGIE-affirmation, and OCFS policies and practices o Develop trainings on subject matter related to the LGBTQ
community and SOGIE, including trainings on transgender policy, intersectionality, data collection, the history of human services and LGBTQ
services, and SOGIE affirming practices. o Create and sustain on-going learning exchanges between LGBTQ
affirming organizations and OCFS. o Review and update existing program manuals and guides to include LGBTQ
affirming best practices and current resources o Create an affirming, inclusive, and supportive environment through which gender and sexual orientation are understood to intersect with the multitude of identities held by staff (e.g., race/ethnicity, class, age, religion, nationality, ability, and other social identities). o Support and assist all ODEIA objectives, including race equity and accessibility/disability advocacy. Creatively and dynamically intersect the Agency's mission with the core tenets of DEIA. Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range:
From $79325 to $100342 Annually
Minimum Qualification
One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in this title or in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer. This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of applicant eligibility.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
