Youth Local Assistance Program Specialist 2

The Youth Local Assistance Program Specialist level 2 will be responsible for leading a team of staff within the Division of Child Welfare and Community Services overseeing the implementation of the Office of Social Determinants of Health (SDOH); providing technical assistance on the intersection of the social determinants of health on race, equity, and inclusion and the intersection of poverty and juvenile justice, child welfare, crossover youth, and other related areas; conducting research on the inclusion of economic and concrete supports in upstream services and supports for children and families; identifying and facilitating upstream program and services that align with the goals of SDOH; and assisting in the drafting of policy and regulations. New York State will launch a comprehensive, statewide holistic approach to address ACEs by focusing on the Social Determinants of Health for our most vulnerable and marginalized children, youth, and families. The position will assist local governments and community-based organizations in the development and delivery of service to youth and families through a health equity lens aligned with the social determinants of health and facilitate education, training and technical assistance in the areas of youth focused supports, program and community planning, and fiscal/contract management. In addition, this position will assess the continuum of services and supports throughout OCFS to determine where, as an agency our programs can better align with the social determinants of health to support improved outcomes for children, youth, and families. Duties to include:
o Lead workgroups inclusive of OCFS, sister-state agencies, community-based organizations and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate the work of SDOH o Develop, review and/or implement policy ADMS, LCMs and MOUs o Represents CWCS in cross divisional partnerships and collaborations o Conducting research and national scans of youth focused programs and services that addresses ACES and SDOH o Conducting research and national scans of programs and services that addresses educational and vocational supports for youth Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.

Salary Range:
From $88161 to $111111 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in planning, organizing or operating youth services or community organizing related to human services. One year of this experience must be in supervision or management of a major program or in supervision of an evaluation or analysis program relating to these functions. Master's degree may be substituted for two years of the general experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
