Local Dispatcher

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the dispatch operations for a fleet of vehicles.
-Assist warehouse with unloading palletized goods and doing pulls for the following days deliveries.
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and optimize routes.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide guidance and support to team members.
- Resolve any issues or delays in transportation to minimize disruptions.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve dispatch processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fleet management or dispatch operations is required.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with phone systems for effective communication with drivers.
