This is a Full-Time.
Individual will be required to work on-site during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day). The preferred work schedule is 8:00am to 5:00pm which includes a lunch break. Additional hours over 40 per week may be occasionally necessary based on software development and deployment schedules.

Description:
The CONNECTIONS project is an ongoing effort to provide the development, maintenance, and support activities on the New York State's Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies. This system includes the following components:
Child Protective Services (CPS) Intake
Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation
Resource Directory & Foster Adoptive Home Development (FAD)
Case Management / Family Services (FSS)
This system is a complex and highly integrated application which consists of several development and end user supported environments. These environments interface/interact with legacy applications and other 3rd party software.
This individual will provide database development support to the CONNECTIONS project during development, maintenance, and supporting activities to maintain New York State's Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) for OCFS, LDSS, and Voluntary Agencies.
The following activities are indicative of the assignments/outcomes expected of this individual:
participation in requirement and design sessions
participate in database design within an existing Oracle database structure
assist the Application Development team in preparing technical designs and perform construction activities
work with developers to design and write complex packages to support their needs
perform team lead tasks when necessary.
write complex functions and procedures for new packages and update existing packages in an established Oracle database using pre-defined business rules
work with Database Administrators to implement design changes and new packages
Performance testing and rewriting of production code/SQL statements & procedures performing badly, identified by Database Administrators.
Provide database support to developers who write code using WCF, WPF and .Net.
support the application through the testing and implementation phases, including product test, stress/load test etc.
facilitate the knowledge transfer between the Technical IT staff and the Program staff responsible for testing, training, and implementation
assist Implementations staff, when needed, reviewing system release notes Maintain existing APEX applications and develop new as needed.
perform Database Administration tasks on Oracle Express in-house database(s).


Programmer:
Analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team
Maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work
Write application software, data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, design, programming, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions
Senior: 60 to 84 months:

Requested
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology, or Mathematics - related field. Please provide a copy of your diploma with the submittal of the resume
At least sixty (60) months experience developing and maintaining applications in Apex.
At least sixty (60) month's experience working with Oracle 10g or higher, having a thorough understanding of the architecture and processes of an Oracle database Server.
At least sixty (60) months experience writing complex packages, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers, in Oracle 10g or higher.
At least thirty six (36) months experience as an Oracle database administrator in a production database environment for large scale, complex application involving on-line and batch environments.
At least thirty six (36) months experience working with project staff (both program and technical staff) providing database support in the development of application software in a Client Server environment using an N-tiered methodology based on defined technical designs.
At least thirty six (36) months experience with Oracle Express in-house database administration tasks. Create schema, manage privileges, etc.
At least thirty six (36) months experience in performing knowledge transfers to coworkers of Oracle database developer techniques supporting the development of database structure for the new application designs and/or enhancements to existing application designs.
At least thirty six (36) months experience in database designs based upon identified business rules and using Oracle 10g or higher.
